Under the operational control of Director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service (DIRNSA/CHCSS) via the Marine Corps Service Cryptologic Component (MC-SCC) Chief, MCSB trains, employs, and deploys Marines in order to conduct signals intelligence (SIGINT), information assurance (IA), and national-tactical integration (NTI) activities satisfying NSA/CSS, Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), and joint force intelligence requirements.
