Lieutenant Colonel Anthony J DeVuono
Lieutenant Colonel Anthony DeVuono was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. He was commissioned in May 2006 from the United States Naval Academy. Following completion of The Basic School, Infantry Officer Course, and Ground Intelligence Officer Course he reported to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines (5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division) Camp Pendleton, California in September 2007.
From September 2007 to June 2008, he served as the Scout Sniper Platoon Commander for Battalion Landing Team (BLT) 2/4 and deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from Okinawa, Japan. While deployed, the unit supported Operation CARING RESPONSE assisting humanitarian efforts in Southeast Asia following a natural disaster.
In July 2008, First Lieutenant DeVuono was assigned as the BLT S-2 Intelligence Officer for 2/4. In November 2009, BLT 2/4 deployed as the Ground Combat Element for the 11th MEU from San Diego, California. While deployed, the unit provided combat support to U.S. Central Command.
In July 2010, Captain DeVuono was assigned as the Assistant to the Director of Intelligence, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps at the Pentagon.
After completion of resident Expeditionary Warfare School, Marine Corps Tactical Operations Group (Intelligence and Tactics Instructor), and the MAGTF Intelligence Officer Course in September 2012, Captain DeVuono reported to 2d Reconnaissance Battalion (2nd Marine Division) Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In April 2013, Captain DeVuono deployed as the Company B (Ground Combat Element) Executive Officer with the 22nd MEU as the first Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response. While deployed, the unit supported Operation NEW NORMAL in Northern Africa. In September 2013, Captain DeVuono assumed command of Company B, 2d Reconnaissance Battalion.
In July 2015, Captain DeVuono reported to Headquarters, Special Operations Command Europe, Stuttgart, Germany. During his time at the command, he served in the J-37 (Engagements & Exercises), J-5 (Plans), and as the Deputy J-23 (Intelligence Operations) overseeing all intelligence operations for Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in theater.
After completion of resident Command & Staff College and earning a Master of Military Studies Degree from Marine Corps University, Major DeVuono reported to Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion (MCSB), Fort Meade, Maryland in July 2019. While at MCSB, he served as the Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer.
In July 2021, Major DeVuono reported to U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command (MFCC), Fort Meade, Maryland. During his time at the command, he served as the Joint Intelligence Support Element (JISE) Officer in Charge at Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (Marines), G-2 Operations Officer MFCC, and Deputy G-2 MFCC.
In July 2024, LtCol DeVuono reported to Marine Corps Intelligence Schools (MCIS), Dam Neck, VA and served as the Operations Officer until June 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel DeVuono and his wife Katelin have three children Adlee (7), Vivee (5), and Anthony (2).
