Command Senior Enlisted Leader
Sergeant Major Michael J Kliment
Sergeant Major Kliment was born on 24 Dec 1987 in Binghamton, New York. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in August
2006 where he attended basic training at MCRD Parris Island. Upon completion of basic training, he attended School of Infantry at Camp Gieger N.C. and was subsequently assigned to 3d Battalion, 2d Marines, 2d Marine Division.

In October 2007, Sergeant Major Kliment deployed to Iraq and participated in combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sergeant Major Kliment returned from Iraq and redeployed with Battalion Landing Team 3/2 apart of the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit in May 2009. Upon returning to CONUS in December 2009, Sergeant Major Kliment was redeployed in support of humanitarian operations in Haiti following the earthquake in January 2010.

In August 2010, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to Marine Corps Embassy Security Group in Quantico V.A. He
completed Marine Security Guard School in October 2010 and was assigned to Region 4, Detachment Caracas, Venezuela, where he served as a watch stander and operations NCO until March 2012. Upon completion of his Region 4 tour, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to Region 8, Detachment Prague, Czech Republic, where he served as the Assistant Detachment Commander.

In September 2013, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to 1st Battalion 7th Marines where he deployed to Afghanistan and participated in combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in February 2014 as the Scout Sniper Platoon Sergeant. Sergeant Major Kliment returned from Afghanistan in October 2015 and redeployed with 1st Battalion 7th Marines as the Combine Anti-Armor Team Platoon Sergeant, apart of the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Central Command in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

In July 2016, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to Marine Barracks Washington where he served as 1st Platoon
Sergeant, Guard Company and marched on the 2017 Marine Barracks Washington Parade Staff. In October 2017, he
served as 2d Platoon Sergeant, Bravo Company, in July 2018, he was assigned as the SNCOIC of the Marine Security Force at White House Communications Agency.

In October 2019, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to 3d Battalion 8th Marines where he deployed on the Unit
Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan as the Lima Company, Company Gunnery Sergeant. In December 2020, he was selected to the rank of First Sergeant. In June of 2021, Sergeant Major Kliment was assigned to 2d Battalion, 10th Marines where he served as the Sierra Battery Unit Senior Enlisted Leader.

In October 2021 Sergeant Major Kliment executed orders to Region 4, Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, in Ft
Lauderdale, Florida where he served as the Region 4 Senior Enlisted Leader. He was selected to his current rank in
November 2023. Sergeant Major Kliment currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion, he assumed his post in July 2024.

Sergeant Major Kliment is married to Adriana L. Kliment of Binghamton, N.Y. They have two children, Nathan and Gia.

Sergeant Major Kliment's personal decorations include The Meritorious Service Medal, The Navy Commendation Medal with 1 gold star, The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 gold stars, and The Presidential Service Badge.
